Lion Tracking in Queen Elizabeth Park
Discover Lion Tracking in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth Park with Lifetime Experience Safaris
If you’re looking for an adventure that brings you close to Uganda’s iconic predators, then Lion Tracking Research in Queen Elizabeth Park is a perfect choice. This activity offers a one-of-a-kind chance to observe lions and leopards, thanks to the Uganda Carnivore Program and their partnership with the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Join researchers on the Kasenyi Plains as they monitor these remarkable animals, giving you insights into the behavior and movements of collared lions and leopards. This intimate and educational experience lets you track these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Researchers use radio collars to track the lions’ movements, allowing them to share these amazing encounters with you. We keep the number of participants small, making this experience feel extra special. For just 150 USD (Jan 2025), you’ll have the unique opportunity to not only witness these magnificent animals but also contribute to their conservation.

What to Expect During Lion Tracking in Queen Elizabeth Park
Lion Tracking Research happens twice daily—early in the morning and late in the afternoon—and each session runs between 1 to 3 hours. During this time, you’ll ride alongside seasoned researchers who will share in-depth knowledge about the local lion population, their movements, and the conservation challenges they face. You’ll gain an understanding that goes beyond what a regular game drive can offer.
