Day 1: Journey from Kampala to Bwindi
Depart from your accommodation in Kampala at 6 a.m., avoiding the morning rush, and set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your English-speaking driver navigates the 4-wheel drive vehicle through Uganda’s picturesque landscapes, stopping for lunch in Mbarara. Arrive at Bwindi, the sanctuary for over half of the world’s mountain gorillas, in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Encounter Bwindi Mountain Gorillas
Rise early for breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters by 8 a.m. for a pre-trek briefing that covers vital safety guidelines.

Day 3: Transition to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Region
Begin your day with an early breakfast before driving to Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your route depends on current conditions, as your driver has advised. During a game drive in Ishasha, look out for its famed tree-climbing lions.
Accommodation: Choose from recommended stays like Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp or Savannah Resort Hotel, before proceeding to your lodging near Mweya in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 4: Explore Queen Elizabeth Park
Kick off your day with a sunrise breakfast overlooking the African savannah. Embark on a morning game drive to witness diverse fauna, including lions and leopards, along with a rich variety of birds. Return for lunch and some downtime before an exhilarating boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala via Kyambura Gorge
After breakfast, opt for a primate walk in Kyambura Gorge, home to chimpanzees and other primates like Columbus and velvet monkeys. Whether or not you choose the primate walk, the gorge is a must-see. Afterward, begin your journey back to Kampala, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan adventure.
